F*ck the Radio homeboy Jahnne is gracing us with a DJ set at our ‘house’ party (and you’re invited!) it’s only fitting that we chuck up this dope collaboration he did with Tim Shiel a little while back for our ‘house’ week.

サンクチュアリ which translates to Sanctuary in Katakana, combines soft vocals and some psychedelic electric guitar chords which create an overall ethereal vibe to the track. Rareware works from Kentucky and mixes many Japanese inspired tracks which explore dreamy and sometimes video-game-like sound vibrations. This particular tracks reminds me of ‘Teletubies’ emerging from the soil.

I had been sleeping on this lush release from youngteam, released a month ago, Headspace sounds like the result of throwing bunch of great sounding synths, vocal snippets, percussive sounds and guitar into some sort of big musical cyclotron (if only it was that easy). Also it’s in 432hz tuning- (read this if you want to know more about that).
Head over to youngteam‘s soundcloud for more.

Su Na has gone and done a remix of Mincha‘s Lovin’. The track has already enjoyed some popularity thanks to SeventhhWonder‘s remix from earlier this month.

Fuck the Radio Collective picked up Melbourne’s FLOW around 9 months ago after peeping an amazing live set. His first album has finally hit the Internet for your listening pleasure. If described in one word? I’d use something like ‘trippy’. Melbourne is surely delivering on the electronic beat goodness lately.

Colourwaves has released some new work and it’s brought us out of hiding. World Warp contains a poignant commentary on consumer culture and human’s creative spirituality.

Outlier Recordings has a catalogue filled with goodness. Jimmy Pé’s Fairy Tale EP is the label’s 55th release and includes two remastered versions of older tracks Mexico and Don Barzini (both really dope in their own right) with the fantastic new Fairy Tale remixed by Anthony Drawn, Je$u$, Mute Speaker and oddlogic. Do not ignore this release; it’s a great find.

The relatively new Fake Flamingo project is something that caught my eye recently-
Fake Flamingo Recordings was conceived in 2011 as a response to the current phenomena of selling an artist’s identity rather than their music. A group of veteran label owners, artists, and writers created a framework for the project, culminating in a 2012 launch. The goal is to release a digital single each week, created by an artist working under a pseudonym. As an added bonus, when the bandcamp proceeds reach $1K, a limited edition 12″ vinyl record will be pressed and 100 people who actually paid for their downloads will receive the record for free.
The ability for an artist to create new sounds without having to reference their past work has proved to be quite freeing. The music is the product, not the person. We hope that you enjoy the art as much as we have enjoyed putting it together.
ECHO70‘s release boasts some chilled out synth-based beat work. If you like it, why not go put some dollars up towards that vinyl?
Spanish producer DEF LED dropped Moments for free download yesterday and it’s worth checking out. Its progression into a dance-y track makes it a real fun listen and something I look forward to playing out. I feel a sense of restrained enthusiasm through repetition, like it starts to get too exciting until glitching out at the four minute mark. Perhaps it could have gone for a minute or so shorter, but the cheeky fun of it all still makes for a regrettable finish and a reach towards the ‘replay’ button.

Calvin Harris sung about life was better in the 80s and artists like Sydney-based Jordan F have been incorporating this theory into their music since the re-emergence of the cheesy synth sounds of chillwave.
There’s something strangely motivational about the sounds of phat-filtered Roland synths and TR-808s, but Jordan F takes it a step further- with just enough modern flair to avoid invoking images of jelly bracelets and, like, totally grody hairdos (see what I did?- 80s slang).
If I was going to go back in time have sex with the hot redhead from the breakfast club… or Ferris Bueller’s girlfriend- I’d have something like Aurora as the soundtrack for sure.

Those that played or knew someone who played Ocarina of Time in their younger years (ie. everybody) are probably very familiar with the ever-persistent little blue fairy thing bugging you every two seconds trying to boss you around the game. HEY! LISTEN!
Luckily, L Λ WNMOWHER‘s wonderfully produced Navi track has more to offer than bringing back memories of telling the Nintendo 64 to SHUT THE FUCK UP.

This beautiful release from Giraffage late last year slipped by me. Embarking on a tour of Europe alongside XXYYXX in sept/october, the floaty synths, glitchy, chopped samples and sprinkles of tight 808 percussion bring the best out of dream pop’s potential as a widely appreciated genre.
Visible‘s romanticised vocals build in a climactic side-chained beat which is simply blissful. For fans of Clams Casino, XXYYXX and Sleep Over. The whole album is available for a pick-your price download with no minimum:
