It’s with great pleasure that we premiere The Booth.
ABLE8 is a busy man, as Kassie found out when she sat down with him for our Lunch With ______ series. For this release he has teamed up with familiar collaborators MC Points (see: I’m Mad) and Benny Diction (see: Life Moves) to spawn a bass-fulled hip-hop jam. I choose the use of the word ‘spawn’ quite purposefully- there’s a real slick grimey feel present in The Booth‘s production that hits just right with Points and Benny D‘s respective flows. Don’t sleep on this. Give it a peep.

Matt Coops describes his music as a “gritty analog-y boom-bap revival of 90’s Hip-Hop”. With that flavour of rap instrumentals in mind, Matt Coops loops his samples and shifts the pitch of the heavy beats throughout loathing (a title referring to the mad flick ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’). The track holds a cool rawness to it that we sometimes miss out on in polished compositions.

Fuck the Radio Collective picked up Melbourne’s FLOW around 9 months ago after peeping an amazing live set. His first album has finally hit the Internet for your listening pleasure. There’s somewhat of a global effort behind this collaboration between local Melbourne hero Amin Payne, Germany-based Ben Bada Boom and French label Cascade Records. A well-deserved sexy video for a sexy song; pushing the limits of what the YouTube monkeys will allow.
Amin and Ben have a talent for making beats which stand on their own as ‘songs’ rather than simplistic instrumentals- really bringing the craft to a new level of creativity and musicianship.
